
Catherine Balaq is a writer and body psychotherapist. Her work has been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and nominated for the Pushcart Prize and the Forward Prize. She is Co-Editor of Black Cat Press. She has two collections of poems, 'animaginary' with Black Cat and 'Deathless' with Verve. Satya Bosman is the Founder and Co-Editor at Black Cat Press. Her poetry won Third Prize in the Kent & Sussex Poetry Society Folio Competition 2025 judged by Ella Frears and has been featured in several publications, including 14 Magazine, Acropolis Journal, Seaside Gothic, Porridge Magazine, The Poetry Lighthouse and The Storms Journal. Her debut poetry collection Dream Logic will be released with Crumps Barn Studio in 2026.
