Catherine Balaq is a writer and body psychotherapist. Her work has been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and nominated for the Pushcart Prize and the Forward Prize. She is Co-Editor of Black Cat Press. She has three collections of poems, 'animaginary' with Black Cat, 'Deathless' with Verve and Some Dark God publishes with V Press in 2026. Satya Bosman is co-editor at Black Cat Press. She has poems featured in 14 Magazine, The London Magazine, The Madrid Review, Eche and The Lake amongst others. She won Third Prize in the Kent & Sussex Poetry Society folio competition in 2025 and in 2026 and was shortlisted for The London Magazine Poetry Prize 2026. Her debut collection Dream Logic published with Crumps Barn Studio in 2026.
